The story
Sang-e-Mah is set in a mountain valley where a young man's search for revenge runs straight into a custom that hands women over as compensation for crimes they did not commit. Hilmand's pursuit of justice becomes a descent into the very traditions he is trying to break.
Written by Mustafa Afridi and directed by Saife Hassan, the serial extends the storytelling tradition of Sang-e-Mar Mar, and it marked the television debut of Atif Aslam, whose presence opposite Hania Aamir, Kubra Khan, Nauman Ijaz and Sania Saeed gave the drama the weight of an event.
