The story
Ishq Murshid is a disguise romance with a conscience: a wealthy heir masquerades as Fazal Baksh, a humble office worker, to get close to Shibra, a principled young woman of modest means, and then has to live with everything the lie sets in motion.
Abdul Khaliq Khan's dialogue and Farooq Rind's warm direction gave Bilal Abbas Khan one of the most playful double roles of his career opposite Durefishan Saleem, and the show's blend of comedy, longing and class commentary made it Hum TV's defining romance of the 2023 season.
