The story
Diyar-e-Dil spans three generations of a proud family bound by a grandfather's promise: the house, the land and the name kept together at any cost. The cost, of course, is paid by the people who live inside the story.
Farhat Ishtiaq's novel provided the bones, and a heavyweight cast, including Abid Ali in one of his defining roles, gave the 2015 saga its gravity. It is the family epic against which later family epics are measured.
