The story
Meray Paas Tum Ho follows Danish, a decent, ordinary man, his ambitious wife Mehwish and the wealthy man whose attention makes her wonder what her life could be worth. The serial turns a domestic betrayal into a national conversation about money, class and what people owe each other.
Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar's dialogue gave the show its most quoted lines, Nadeem Baig directed, and the lead performances from Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan and Adnan Siddiqui made the finale such an event that cinemas screened it. Almost every drama since has been measured against it.
