The story
Parizaad follows a brilliant young poet whom the world has decided not to see: awkward, unassuming, easy to talk over. The serial then does something remarkable, letting life carry him through love, loss, money and power while he chooses, again and again, to stay himself.
Hashim Nadeem adapted his own novel and Shahzad Kashmiri directed, with Ahmed Ali Akbar's performance as Parizaad winning both awards and a permanent place in the culture. The poetry threaded through the show gives it a voice no other drama quite has.
