Career so far

Hamza Ali Abbasi's run of leads reads like a genre sampler: the doomed romantic of Pyarey Afzal, the conflicted writer of Mann Mayal, the seeker of Alif. Off screen he is among the industry's more outspoken figures on faith and politics, and both sides of that reputation live inside the roles he chooses.
